Journey to the Roof of the World
Ladakh, often called “Roof of the World”, is a mesmerizing region in northern India, nestled between the mighty Himalayas and the Karakoram ranges. It’s renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, unique culture and vibrant history. Ladakh is characterized by its rugged mountains, pristine valleys, high-altitude deserts, and serene lakes.

I had a wonderful experience travelling with Kim and Surendra. Immediately there was a warm and adventurous atmosphere that lasted the whole trip. Everything was very well planned, but with enough flexibility to meet everyone's needs. They were considerate about my night blindness. Once a teammeber took over and I could ride in the van! The places we visited were special and with Surendra being a native speaker, communication with locals added a special touch. We had a broken bike key and a flat tyre, but the team were excellent troubleshooters and it didn’t affect our plans. As a 58 year old Dutch woman, I had little experience with hairpins, off roading and watercrossing. But with their guidance, tips and encouragement I became quite a confident rider! For me it was an unforgettable experience that will always have a special place in my memories.
